Michael DeAngelo

Michael is able to pair his design and technical knowledge with expression and messaging to produce work that is both captivating and original.  Michael grew up in museums and galleries watching his father produce traditional still life oil paintings. His art career began as an impactful member of the worldwide graffiti scene in his younger years, a contrast to the art he was exposed to through his father.

After extensive study in the fine arts , studying in Italy through Rome Workshops, at Grand Central Atelier in New York and with master painter Hollis Dunlap, Michael pursued a design education studying with Will Weston and at Brainstorm School in Burbank.  The contrast of these educations has lead Michael to have a very unique approach on all projects and personal work.

Michael has shown his fine art in New York City, at galleries such as the Salmagundi Club, he shows regularly in New Haven, Connecticut where he has been invited to speak to the Yale MFA class on public art. You can find Michael’s work throughout the United States and Europe.

When Michael is not in his studio you can find him outside painting oil landscapes, spray painting graffiti,  creating large scale murals, playing basketball and chatting with his fellow artists.
